About Us

   I didn’t grow up with collies, but when I was a young girl, I read “Lassie Come Home” by Eric Knight, and I knew I wanted Collies! I finally got my first purebred collie as an adult!  It was a dream come true for me to bring Riley home, and I was sure that a more beautiful collie had never existed! Riley isn’t part of my breeding program, and he isn’t a “show” collie, but he is a big part of our family!

In 2006, I got my first “show” collie.  Although I didn’t show her myself, I was hooked! Sophie is not part of our breeding program either, but is also a big part of our family. She is six years old, but you would never know it, as she still plays like a puppy! I don’t think there is another dog on the planet who gets as excited to go for a walk as Sophie does!

Three years later, I got Fallon. She produced two litters here, and is now the queen of our couch.  She is the dam of Lucy, Can.Ch. Rainycreek's Why So Serious. Thank you to Trudy Taphorn, of Tamaron Collies, for letting Fallon be the beginning for Rainycreek Collies.
